MISS HIGH HEEL
Split Wax Cylinder, Inscribed: Beast 661

Irreverent, erotic and downright insane is an apt description of the debut by Miss High Heel, charmingly-titled Split Wax Cylinder, Inscribed: "The Beast 661." This free jazz/grindcore/improv monstrosity is the result of a collaboration between To Live And Shave In L.A. leader Tom Smith, Bobby Conn sideman/Flying Luttenbacher Weasel Walter, Luttenbachers Chuck Falzone and Bill Pisarri, ex-Scissor Girl AZ, Lake Of Dracula leader Marlon Magas and Smith's onetime Peach Of Immortality bandmate Mike Green. Recorded during a live 1996 broadcast on Chicago radio station WZRD, the disc is the first long-player on Skin Graft subsidiary B.Sides Records. The label plans to release Miss High Heel's studio album, which features Jim O'Rourke, in early 1999.
